Master Wether Program Rules and Points
Each year we offer those who only own wethers an opportunity to continue to show after there wethers have reached the Permanent Grand Champion status and for all wethers an opportunity to become the Master Wether. The Master Wether title will be awarded to the wether obtaining the most points throughout the year. The winner of this title will receive an award certificate, will have their win posted in the Nigerian News, on the website and all NDGA social media outlets.

How to earn a Master Wether title for you wether:
Any NDGA registered wether may compete. The competition year will run from January 1 to December 31. Once a wether has reached permanent grand champion status, said wether may still compete for the Master Wether Championship each year.
PGCH Wethers must have either an NDGA updated PGCH status on registration papers or the official NDGA certificate with PGCH status.
Point System
At each show the 1st - 5th places in each individual class are:
1st - 5 points
2nd - 4 points
3rd - 3 points
4th - 2 points
5th - 1 point
Grand Champion Class
Grand - 2 points
Reserve - 1 point
A non-PGCH wether taking Grand Champion will be awarded 7 points for that show. (5 points for 1st place and 2 points for Grand).
Permanent Grand Champion Class: this is the class for wethers who have reached PGCH status.
1st - 7 points
2nd - 6 points
3rd - 5 points
4th - 4 points
5th - 3 points
Wether placings will be maintained by the Wether Chair and updated on the website several times during the show season. After the show season, the final tally will be posted and the winner will be contacted.
The more shows a wether attends, the more points they will accumulate during the year.

- To give an incentive to bring wethers to shows.
- To give youth who have only wethers a reason to continue showing.
- To award wethers who come to shows
