NDGA HERITAGE MILK PRODUCERS AWARD
This award is to honor those hard working breeders who have dedicated themselves to improving the milk production of the NDGA Nigerian Goat.
This is an annual award given to a herd who has at least 3 does in their herd name that have earned for the first time a milk production award
in the current fiscal year and is a current NDGA member.
All does who are eligible for this award must have come from the same herd and carry that herd name. The does do not have to be owned by the breeder.
All does must be registered with NDGA and meet NDGA requirements.
One Day test and 305 DHI tests results will be counted. Only the doe will be counted not the number of wins she may have earned during the year.
Example: a doe who earned a 305 Day award and a One Day award in the same year.
Once a doe has been used in determining the Heritage Milk Program yearly award she may not be used for any subsequent years.
Breeders will be eligible to win this award yearly by using different does in their herd name who meet the NDGA requirements.
Winner will be awarded a Certificate with the year and does names and a $100 check. Names of breeder and does will be published on the NDGA website with the other milk awards for that year. In the event of a tie, or multiple winners, the monetary award will be divided.
