FAQ's
Q. I purchased a goat from someone who said the goat was purebred and could be registered, but they didn't have the paperwork. Can I still register the goat?
A. If you know the name of the breeder, you may try to contact them and ask if they would issue you new paperwork to register the goat. If they sold the goat at a reduced price without papers, you may be asked to make up the difference in cost in order to receive the paperwork to register the goat.
If you do not know the breeder, then the simple answer is no, the goat may not be registered with NDGA.
Q. If I have a NDGA registered buck and an AGS/ADGA doe, can the kids be registered with the NDGA?
A. Only if you register the mom with NDGA first.
Q. How do I registering the mom with NDGA if she's already registered with AGS/ADGA?
A. Registering any goat with NDGA that is registered with ADGA/AGS
will require you to completely fill out a NDGA New Animal Registration form for each of the goats you are trying to register and make copies of their ADGA/AGS registration papers. Send all forms to NDGA along with the appropriate fee/s.
*ADGA does not include the number of kids born and AGS does not put the date of sale. Both are needed to register with NDGA.*
