ndga Nigerian Dwarf Breed Standard
The Nigerian Dwarf is the only true miniature goat breed of dairy type and character.
It's conformation is similar to that of the larger breeds, but the parts of the body are in balanced proportion relative to their size. The profile of the face is straight, although some have a small break, or step, at eye level. The ears are alert and upright. The coat is straight with short to medium length hair, with short, sleek and smooth hair being the ideal. The desired height for does is 17" to 19", with a maximum height of 21". The desired height for bucks is 18" to 20", with a maximum height of 23". There is no minimum height for does or bucks. Any color, or combination of colors is acceptable. (Pygmy goat breed specific markings are a moderate fault.)

NDGA BREED STANDARD FOR WETHERS
Wethers are neutered males. Not only do wethers make great pets, they also serve as ambassadors of the breed. Many successful breeders started with just a wether or two as pets! ndga is the only breed organization to recognize wethers for their value as pets and show animals.
